The Mid-Am Power Rankings are officially here! These rankings are voted on by Mid-Am Series staff, media members, and fellow competitors—giving a true, well-rounded look at who’s hot heading into the 2026 season.

Rankings include all Mid-Am legal competitors, featuring drivers from the Mid-Am Racing Series, as well as weekly standouts from Grundy County Speedway and other tracks running Mid-Am

Preseason Power Rankings

1. Scotty Gardner – 97 points (7 first-place votes)

Wins the Grundy County Speedway Spring Classic to show everyone why he is #1 in the Power Rankings.

2. Josh Nelms – 82 points (2 first-place votes)

Did not race this weekend.

3. Kevin Murphy – 72 points (1 first-place votes)

Finished 4th in the Spring Classic at Grundy

4. Jeremiah Senko 37 points

Did not race this weekend

5. Kenny Richards – 34 points

Scotty’s Performance in the Mid-Am Racing Series

Racing Series Overview

Scotty began his journey in the Mid-Am Racing Series in 2023, making his first start that year. From the outset, he demonstrated remarkable skill and consistency, participating in a total of 22 races. His ability to adapt and perform throughout these events established him as a standout competitor in the series.

Qualifying Achievements

During his time in the Mid-Am Racing Series, Scotty distinguished himself in qualifying rounds. Over the span of three years, he earned 5 fast qualifying awards, consistently showcasing his speed against a competitive field. Notably, his precision and pace resulted in the establishment of 2 new track records, emphasizing his exceptional abilities during qualifying sessions.

Race Performance

Scotty’s race performance was equally impressive. He secured 5 feature wins, demonstrating his capacity to translate qualifying success into victories on race day. His consistency was evident with 18 top 5 finishes and 20 top 10 finishes out of his 22 total starts, regularly placing him among the front-runners and highlighting his reliability and skill as a driver.

Honors and Championships

In recognition of his outstanding achievements Scotty was honored with the Rookie of the Year award in 2024. His sustained excellence led to the remarkable accomplishment of winning 2 Series Championships 2024 & 2025, underscoring his impact and success in the Mid-Am Racing Series from his very first year.
